

Lottomatica Group subsidiary GTECH signs five-year contract extension with Sazka in the Czech Republic to provide products and services through 2022
GTECH TO INSTALL NEW IP-TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
ANTICIPATED REVENUES TO GTECH OF APPROXIMATELY €120 MILLION OVER THE EXTENSION, COMMENCING IN 2018
ROME (ITALY) and PROVIDENCE, RI (USA) – February 09, 2010 – Lottomatica Group S.p.A. announced that its subsidiary, GTECH Global Services Corporation, has signed a five-year contract extension to continue providing online lottery products and services, as well as install and operate a new IP-telecommunications network, for SAZKA, a.s., the operator of lottery and betting games in the Czech Republic. The contract extension will commence on January 1, 2018, and is expected to generate revenues to GTECH of approximately €120 million, beginning in 2018.

Under the terms of the extension, GTECH will continue to operate and maintain Sazka’s online and instant-ticket system, as well as the 7,000 GTECH-provided online lottery terminals already in operation. In addition, GTECH will invest in and upgrade Sazka’s existing communications infrastructure to a new satellite-based IP network. The Company will continue to provide telecommunications network operation and maintenance and hotline management for Sazka over the extension period.
