  • Participation in conferences and studies on responsible gaming.
COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING
Objective
Provide conscious and informed choice to the player through clear and complete communication about gaming.

Actions
  • Adoption of a code of self discipline in communication that ensures clarity, completeness and transparency of communication to players.
    • Internal and external sharing of the code and definition of internal monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with the code.
  • Monitoring of communication to verify compliance with the code.
PLAYER EDUCATION AND AWARENESS
Objective
Invite and inform players to adopt a balanced and responsible gaming behavior.

Actions
  • Player awareness campaign aimed at promoting balanced and controlled gaming behavior:
    • Press campaign "Gioca senza esagerare (Please play responsibly)" on major newspapers and periodicals.
    • Advertising campaign at retailers.
    • Distribution of 10 million flyers with gaming approach self evaluation tests (PGSI protocol – Problem Gambling Severity Index).
    • Section dedicated to responsible gaming on all Lottomatica websites (www.lottomaticaitalia.it; www.totosi.it; www.lottomatica.it).
SUPPORT REFERRALS
Objective
Actively cooperate with responsible gaming organizations in order to provide referrals for assistance.

  • Launching of the service GiocaResponsabile organized by FEDERSERD to provide support and assistance to problem players and their families. The service provides the opportunity to contact a specialist through two methods: toll-free number – 800 921 121 - anonymous, free and accessible from all over Italy both by landline and cellular phone, available every day, for 12 hours a day, 365 days a year; and a website - www.giocaresponsabile.it.
REMOTE GAMING
Objective
Create a remote gaming framework that maintains the highest standards of responsible gaming and prevents minors from gaming.

Actions
  • Insertion of self limitation, self evaluation and self elimination tools into Lottomatica gaming portals (www.lottomaticaitalia.it e www.totosi.it).
  • Verification systems during registration that restricts minors from accessing games.
  • Introduction of a new “Gioca senza esagerare” section with useful information and suggestions on preventing excessive play.
  • Ethical certification of gaming portals (www.lottomaticagroup.com e www.totosi.it) by third parties (G4 – Global Gambling Guidance Group).
  • Annual certification audit.
GAME DESIGN
Objective
Ensure correct assessment of social risk of new games before their release on the market.

Actions
  • Cooperation with international experts to define a game assessment tool to verify the level of social risk relating to new games.
  • Adoption of "GameGard" tool created by responsible gaming experts around the world.
  • Pre-launch audit of all new games.
SALES CHANNEL TRAINING
Objective
Provide retailers with complete information on possible gaming risks in order to promote a responsible gaming culture among their clients.

Actions
  • Training and awareness plan for the network of agents and retailers about responsible gaming:
    • Brochures sent to over 60,000 retailers.
    • Regular updates through newsletters.
    • Surveys on retailers to monitor the campaign’s progress and plan further training.
    • Section dedicated to responsible gaming on retailer portals.
EMPLOYEE TRAINING
Objective
Spread the culture of responsible gaming to all employees in order to guide their daily activities.

Actions
  • Specific training on responsible gaming for employees who interact both directly and indirectly with the players (Marketing, Communication, Commercial, Call Center) with the support of national and international experts.
  • Information for all employees on Lottomatica’s commitments and the responsible gaming program.
STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT AND COMMUNICATION
Objective
Identify the stakeholders and get them involved in the issue of responsible gaming.
