The Responsible Gaming Program adopted by Lottomatica also aims to conform to the framework outlined by the World Lotteries Association and to the standards established by the European Lotteries Association concerning responsible gaming, applied for by the company in 2008. These two international associations ask their members to adopt a responsible gaming policy and implement a plan based on specific and well defined actions, to be certified and tested annually.

In 2009 Lottomatica, first operator in Italy and among the few in Europe, obtained certification of compliance with standards set by the European Lotteries Association; also in 2009, the World Lottery Association awarded the company with the highest level of certification offered by the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework (Level 4). In 2010 the annual review of the implementation of the Responsible Gaming program is scheduled for the certification obtained.

In addition, Lottomatica attends the European Lotteries Association working group on Responsible Gaming to share its experiences with other gaming companies and develop global standards to protect the players.
